One of the important things we do in honor of Kihawahine, spiritual guardian of Loko O Mokuhinia, is to keep her home as it is today beautiful and well-kept. On Saturday, September 20, 2014 between 8:00 and 11:00 am, volunteers and friends will work together at the Moku‘ula restoration site to clean up and beautify the grounds. We have topsoil to spread and seeds to plant; there are branches to prune and weeds to pull. We encourage you to bring your personal gardening tools like a rake, shovel, weed eater, chain saw, cane knife. Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes as well as protective gear like gloves, a hat and sunscreen. Cold water will be provided.
The site is located at the corner of Shaw and Front Streets in Lahaina, across from Kamehameha Iki Beach Park. Parking will be available in our Moku‘ula lot on this corner. Mahalo nui!
