Sunday, May 25 - Festival continues at Banyan Tree Park with all canoes moved
Friday, May 30 Hale (5) for village setting should be up and operating with groups from Island Nations with their goods for sale. New Zealand is bringing art pieces that will be a part of the display I will do again at the Wharf Cinema Center with the canoe projects of King Kamehameha III & Sacred Hearts 4th graders and the black & white photos from festivals past. The New Zealand pieces will also be for sale. It was extended to all participating Nations to bring goods for sale. The spaces for the arts and craft fair we are hosting during the festival will be offered to Master participants first then local artists. We will try to keep crafters as local and cultural as possible to this event.
Per the suggestion of moving the Ho'olaule'a to Banyan Tree Park and closing that block to traffic, I will work with Lahaina Art Society and try to switch weekends with them. Currently we have May 17 & 18 and they have May 31 & June 1st. This would allow us to begin set up of Banyan Tree Park for that event. I need to see if we could logistically accomplish this. I will advise, I started the Permits and Approval process this morning.
Friday May 30 Tentive mahalo luau for all participants.
Saturday May 31 Closing Cermony
